The Southern Edition of the Brazil Bush Trip will begin near the town of Santa Maria in the state of Rio Grande Do Sul. You will head north east near the colonial coastal town of Florianopolis. There you will depart north to the quaint town of Itarare before heading east to explore the "Costa Verde," or Green Coast, an area known for its towering mountains and spectacular scenery. You will follow the coast over the southern edge of Sau Paulo and finally fly past Christ The Reedemer and the famous city of Rio de Janeiro that sits in Guanabara Bay. Finally you will land on a grass runway at Saquarema Airport about 35 miles further east.
