Michoacan Mexico - Depart El Jabali (MMTF) and fly to El Baztan (MMPO).

Details: Michoacan is known as the "Soul of Mexico" or El Alma de Mexico due to it's hearty food, it's natural beauty, it's celebrations like "Night Of The Dead" and it's large indigenous population. You will depart at the edge of the state of Colima from the stunning El Jabali. The VERY active Colima Volcano looms over the airstrip. Heading in the direction of Huetamo, you will cross the varied topography that makes this part of the world so special. Volcanos, rugged mountains, impressive valleys and huge expanses of colorful farmland. The choice of plane here should not be taken lightly. Go STOL a little slower to make short work of the short 1000ft runway at El Baztan, or expedite things in a twin or turbine at the cost of a rough landing when the end of the strip comes up in a hurry.
