Achievement Leg 14: Week 14 at Houston Oilers (December 3, 1978)

Background

⦁ In week 14, the Steelers traveled down to Houston to face off against the Oilers for the second time in the season. In the first quarter, the Steelers scored the game's first points as Roy Gerela kicked a 41 yard field goal to make it 3-0. In the second quarter, Houston scores a field goal of their own to make it 3-3 entering halftime.

⦁ In the third quarter, the Steelers kicked up another Roy Gerela field goal to make it 6-3. Throughout the second half, the Steel Curtain shut out Houston’s offense and the win was sealed after a John Stallworth touchdown in the fourth quarter.
