Achievement Leg 15: Week 15 vs Baltimore Colts (December 9, 1978)

Background:

⦁ In week 15, the Steelers returned home to host the 5-9 Baltimore Colts on a snowy Saturday game at Three Rivers Stadium. The Steelers scored first on a 31 yard touchdown catch by John Stallworth to make it 7-0 in the first quarter.

⦁ In the second quarter, Franco Harris scored 2 touchdown runs to make it a commanding 21-0 lead. At the end of the first half, the Colts scored their first points on a 5 yard Roger Carr touchdown reception to make it 21-7 at halftime.

⦁ In the start of the second half, the Baltimore Colts defense recovered a fumble back for a touchdown to make it 21-14. Unfortunately for their offense, the Steel Curtain shut them out for the rest of the game. After 2 more passing touchdowns from Terry Bradshaw, the Steelers are now 13-2 with a dominant 35-14 victory.
