Firefly Air's First Official Event

After many weeks of preparation, evaluation and test flights, our Boeing 737-700 aircraft is ready to depart the United States and make its way over the Atlantic Ocean to Ireland.

This flight will mark the first official achievement for Firefly Air and is available to all Firefly Air pilots who successfully complete this flight in real time.

We started this adventure from the Boeing Factory in Renton, Washington and flew it all the way to Boston. Now its time for the biggest challenge yet, an ETOPS flight across the Atlantic with live weather

We have tested the capabilities of this aircraft with short field takeoffs and landings. We tested its limits with stalls, rolls and even loops. We tested our own limits with learning the systems and procedures and even battled a unique simulator bug loosing all functionality in the aircraft and yet we are still here and ready for takeoff!

This is a direct flight which will see us transit the Atlantic following a North Atlantic Track (NAT-OTS) and should take about 6 hours.

The OFP will be generated on June 3rd 2022 just before wheels up and will be issued as a company route.

Depart from KBOS, fly to and land at EIDW (2,595 NM).
