The Witcher Flight 2
...Toss a coin to your Witcher Oh, Valley of Plenty, oh, Valley of Plenty...
Since the birthplace of the story is Poland, it was no wonder that the directors used it as a filming location. More specifically, Ogrodzieniec Castle showed a site for the Battle of Sodden, which was shown in the season finale. The castle is located in Rabsztyn, a small village about 60 km from Krakow. The castle was originally built between the 14th and 15th centuries on the castle hill in the Polish Jura highlands.
Some of the Witcher-Lore:
In 1272, during the third invasion of the Nilfgaard Empire into the Kingdoms of the North, Vesemir, Eskel and Lambert returned to the settlement to cover their tracks against the imperial troops and repair the state of the walls of the stronghold. Soon they are joined by Geralt of Rivia and Yennefer, who with the help of a mysterious, cursed creature named Uma try to find their adopted daughter Cirilla. The sorceress, with the help of witchers, conducts the initial stages of the Trial of grasses on The Umie, which, combined with magic and phylactery, remove the charm from the elven Knower – Avallac'ha. Avallac'h confesses to Ciri's hiding place, warning that Gon has probably already tracked down the girl's location. While Geralt sets off for his raiser on the Island of Mists, the witchers of Yennefer prepare the stronghold for the attack of the Wild Hunt, to which they intend to give the battle. Shortly after cirilla and Geralt arrive at Kaer Morhen, hosts of Red Riders, led by Eredin Bréacc Glas, arrive in the valley.
