Far and Wide 01 AGGA to AGGN

Shuttle local doctors from Auki to Gizo in the Solomon Islands.

Auki is the provincial capital of Malaita Province, Solomon Islands. It is situated on the northern end of Langa Langa Lagoon on the north-west coast of Malaita Island. It is one of the largest provincial towns in Solomon Islands. The area is rich in culture and has become a central hub for many Malaitans who use the area to conduct a majority of trade and business in the province.

Gizo is the capital of the Western Province in Solomon Islands. With a population of 7,177 (as of 2019), it is the third largest town in the country. Gizo has a small landing strip on the nearby island of Nusatupe to the north east of the town, making it relatively developed compared to other settlements in the general vicinity. These days Gizo is a tourism centre with diving and surfing being popular activities. This area of Solomon Islands has had a history of headhunting. According to local stories the Gizo tribe were notorious in this activity so maybe don't linger here too long.

Criteria

Depart from AGGA, fly to and land at AGGN (230 NM).

You must use one of the following aircraft:
  • Cessna Caravan (C208)
  • De Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter (DHC6)
  • Quest Kodiak (KODI)

Before attempting to fly this achievement (with one of the above aircraft) you must ensure that your aircraft is properly designated in FsHub or you may risk not completing the achievement.
