Great Basin 20 1U6 to U91

This is a virtual airline achievement created by Fliggity Air.

You'll be landing at Grasmere Airport located in, you guessed it, Grasmere Idaho. Never heard of it? I'm not surprised, Grasmere is an abandoned service stop in the southwestern part of Idaho in Owyhee County. Located on state highway 51, it's 30 miles from the Nevada border. Grasmere was the former site of a small gas station/bar and grill/post office.

The site is now occupied by a remote USAF station and manned by airmen from the nearby Mountain Home AFB and the Air National Guard from Gowen Field in Boise. The GA airport you'll be landing at is unattended and has been in service since 1956.

Criteria

Depart from 1U6, fly to and land at U91 (90 NM).

You must use one of the following aircraft:

  • VAN'S RV-10 (RV10)
  • VAN'S RV-14 (RV14)
  • Cirrus SR-22 (SR22)
  • Camair 480 Twin Navion (TNAV)
