The year is nineteen and twenty eight. You are a newly minted pilot fresh out of training with National Parks Airways, who are contracted to carry the mail for the US Postal Service. This will be your first solo assignment after flying tandem with experienced pilots to show you the way.

Your mission is to fly the mail from Salt Lake City, Utah up to Great Falls, Montana. As this is your first trip, several rest stops at DOCILFs (Dept of Commerce Intermediate Landing Field) are planned along the way.

The final leg departs from Dell Flight Strip and tracks the airway beacons north to Great Falls. This is a longer leg than the first two, so you may want to consider flying the Boeing 247D, Beech 18, or DC-3 for this leg. Congratulations on completing your first mail run!

Flight Plan:

• Route: Direct from Dell Flight Strip, Montana 4U9 to Great Falls, Montana KGTF
• Plane configuration: No passengers, 25 lbs of mail
• Navigation: lighted airway beacons, compass, dead reckoning

• Fokker V.III, or
• Curtis JN-4 Jenny, or
