Today marks the 78th Anniversary of D-Day by 6Knots

To mark this occasion we will be doing a special stream with some vintage aircraft and using some amazing freeware scenery addons (PC only) to learn about this historic day and a critical turning point towards the end of World War 2. Our flight will be in two stages.

Stage 1: First up - we will depart Dunkeswell Aerodrome EGTU and fly over the historic remains of Upottery Aerodrome in the south of England. From here we head across the channel to land at Cherbourg Manche LFRC. Our aircraft for the first leg is the Boeing 247D by Wing42 with a special RAF livery

Stage 2: We start in the newly released Piper L-4 Grasshopper by Flight Replicas (similar aircraft if you wish to fly along - C152/Xcub/KitFox/L-19) Departing LFRC we head to the Batterie de Crisbecq, Batterie d'Azeville, Sainte-Mere-Eglise, Carentan, Sainte-Marie-du-Mont, Utah Beach, Pointe-du-Hoc, Omaha Beach, Colleville-sur-Mer (US Cemetery), Longues-sur-Mer Battery, The Mulberry Harbour, Arromanches (Gold Beach), Juno Beach, Radar Station 44 and then to CAEN Carpiquet LFRK for our first stop. From here we continue passing Pegasus Bridge, Sword Beach, Batterie de Merville and finally over to Deauville LFRG for a full stop landing.

From CAEN Carpiquet LFRK we continue passing Pegasus Bridge, Sword Beach, Batterie de Merville and finally over to Deauville LFRG for a full stop landing.
