Welcome to the mesmerizing east coast of Australia, a region where the azure of the ocean meets the lush greenery of the coastal hinterlands. As a pilot in this achievement-earning adventure, you're about to embark on a thrilling journey, charting a course through some of the most iconic and breathtaking landscapes Australia has to offer. From the bustling harbours of Sydney to the tropical allure of Cairns, each leg of your journey is a unique tapestry of natural wonders, bustling cities, and serene coastal towns.

Your adventure kicks off at Sydney (YSSY), a vibrant metropolis famed for its stunning harbour and architectural marvels. As you ascend, wave goodbye to the iconic Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge, setting your course northward. Your first destination, Coffs Harbour (YCFS), is a haven for surfers and a gateway to lush national parks. The journey then weaves through the laid-back surf town of Byron Bay (YBNA), before you touchdown in the Gold Coast (YBCG), an area that perfectly blends urban sophistication with a relaxed, sunny vibe. But the journey doesn't stop there! Glide further north to Gladstone (YGLA), the launchpad to the Southern Great Barrier Reef, before soaring over pristine waters to reach the Whitsundays (YBHM), a paradise of turquoise waters and pure white sands. Your final descent is towards Cairns (YBCS), a tropical jewel where the rainforest meets the reef, offering the perfect finale to your spectacular east coast adventure.

Each leg of your journey, from the shortest hop of 96nm between Byron Bay and Brisbane to the longest stretch of 296nm leading to Cairns, is more than a flight – it's a voyage through diverse landscapes, rich cultures, and captivating stories. This achievement showcases some great locations and, as of its creation, there are some wonderful sceneries available if you are interested in augmenting the experience. They're listed below for your convenience:

N.B: The legs for this multi-achievement have a speed restriction and this was to give our pilots more flexibility in terms of selecting an aircraft for these flights rather than restricting to specific airframes. That being said, this achievement was designed for aircraft such as the Piper PA-24 Comanche, the Pilatus PC-12, and the ATR 42/72 or ones in a similar category.
