Did you know that the famous movie star John Travolta famous for films such as Grease, Look Who's Talking, Pulp Fiction, The Taking of Pelham 123, Gotti and one of my all-time favourites Swordfish is a massive aviation fan and highly experienced pilot?
John's love of aircraft and flying started when he was a young boy and did you know that he actually lives on an airport outside of Ocala, Florida? John lives at an exclusive aviation estate known as "Jumbolair" (or Greystone Airport) which includes a private runway and taxiway for his aircraft.
The New Jersey native began taking flying lessons at age 15 and has been a licensed pilot since he was 22 years old; John has been flying planes for four decades and owns at least seven including a Boeing 707, Dassault Falcon 900, Bombardier Challenger 601, Boeing 727, three Gulfstream jets and an Eclipe 500.
John is qualified to fly a large number of aircraft and recently recieved his Boeing 737 qualifaction too!
Since 2002, John has been an ambassador for Quantas Airlines - of whom originally leased the Boeing 707 that he had parked outside his home at Greystone Airport (Jumbolair) until he dontated it to HARS in 2017.
After the 2010 Haiti earthquake, joining other celebrities in helping with the relief efforts, John reportedly flew his Boeing 707 full of supplies, doctors, and Scientologist Volunteer Ministers into the disaster area.
Maybe there are a few other clues as to John's love of aviation - I am guessing that his late son's name (Jett) came from his passion of aircraft?
To obtain this achievement you'll be accepting this (obviously fictitious) dinner invitation and personal tour of his home - be sure to keep your landing about -400fpm, we don't want to annoy our host by "digging up his driveway".
